The 21st Reeperbahn Festival is Europe’s largest club festival, transforming over 70 venues into a massive, sprawling incubator for the future of music.
Theme: “Forever Legit?”
This year, the festival is asking the tough, necessary questions under its guiding theme, “Forever Legit?”. The entire music ecosystem is facing radical social and technological shifts, alongside the rapidly changing nightlife and consumption habits of younger generations. It is an industry at a crossroads, a reality further intensified by recent political debates over slashing the festival’s federal funding from €6.27 million just last year down to €4.5 million.

Keychange initiative
Beyond the crucial industry debates, the sheer volume and diversity of the live programming make attendance mandatory. The festival is a founding member of the Keychange initiative. They are proving this with a staggering line-up. There are over 170 FLINTA-fronted acts* from 30 countries. This includes powerful performers like Anna von Hausswolff and Dream Wife. There is also a massive spotlight on this year’s first-ever Guest Country of Honour, Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation will feature showcases by boundary-pushing artists like GANNA, Maryna Krut, and Kazhanna. They will demonstrate the unshakable resilience of human creativity. This will occur even under the most extreme circumstances.
