This year marks a bold new chapter for Elninodiablo. Ahead of his highly anticipated second studio album, the producer unveils ‘A Universe Inside’—an EP that doesn’t just play; it breathes. Echoing the introspective depth of 2021’s ShadowPlay, this new collection is a masterclass in sonic world-building.

A Cinematic Prelude to a Landmark Year

The journey begins with ‘Nowhere to Hide’, the first single from his new album, featuring the ethereal vocals of Elodie Gervaise and the rhythmic mastery of Sudha Kheterpal (Faithless). It is a haunting, psycho-spiritual exploration where Boards of Canada-esque textures meet raw, rolling live percussion.

From the dubby, obsidian depths of ‘Identify As…’ to the high-octane transformation of Ojerime’s ‘Give It Up 2 Me’ on ‘Losing My Mind’, the EP is a bridge between two worlds. One world is the internal sanctuary of ambient sound design. The other is the thundering energy of experimental techno and early 90s rave.

About The Artist

Elninodiablo (real name Stephanos Pantelas) is a Berlin‑based producer, DJ, and curator whose work spans dub, psychedelia, disco, electronica and experimental club music. Born in Cyprus, he began with pirate radio. He then moved to London in the 1990s. There, he became a fixture at queer underground venues like The End, Turnmills and Fabric. Later, he worked in music PR representing artists such as Horse Meat Disco, Salsoul Records and Fat Freddy’s Drop.

Now anchored in Berlin, he co‑founded the queer collective and night Lunchbox Candy, a platform for avant‑garde sound, performance and community that has grown into a key fixture of the city’s nightlife.

His music fuses organic sounds, field recordings, live instrumentation, synths and drum machines with a conceptual, fluid approach to genre. This shows decades of global travel. It reflects deep engagement with dance culture. His production philosophy is driven by intuition and embodied experience. Releases on his own label El Niño Diablo Music include the critically noted ShadowPlay (2021) and the debut album The Downey Groove (2025). Both albums are rooted in emotional depth and textural exploration.
