SUNESIS, das Soloprojekt der in Barcelona lebenden Produzentin Melisa Blomberg, kündigt die Veröffentlichung von DESTINATIONS an. Es ist ein 11-Track-Album. Dieses Album ist eine klangliche und ästhetische Hommage an das goldene Zeitalter der Science-Fiction. DESTINATIONS entfaltet cineastische Klanglandschaften, erschaffen mit Synthesizern, und Atmosphären aus einer anderen Welt.
Ein eindrucksvolles Beispiel dafür ist die Single „Galaxy Empress“. Mit dieser Single stellt die argentinische Künstlerin dieses Album vor. DESTINATIONS ist ihr erstes, das auf Vinyl erscheint, in einer limitierten Arctic-Pearl (perlblau) Edition. Das Album ist das Ergebnis von fünf Jahren klanglicher Entwicklung.
Das Album setzt den Weg fort. Dieser Weg begann mit Music For Space Stations (2020). Er wurde in der Space-Opera ORBITAL (2023) erweitert. Diese Entwicklung wurde in ihrer bislang dunkelsten Arbeit, der Mercury EP (2024), vollendet.
Eine einzigartige Veröffentlichung
Limitierte Auflage von 300 Exemplaren. Die ersten 100 Exemplare werden von Weltraumreise-Postkarten mit Augmented Reality begleitet. Diese werden dank der Zusammenarbeit mit TheScifiNerds (Barcelona) in 3D zum Leben erweckt.
Die Visuals wurden mit Blender 3D, Photoshop und Procreate von Hand erstellt und sind inspiriert von Syd Mead, Enki Bilal und der Luftpinsel-Science-Fiction-Kunst der 70er Jahre.
SUNESIS kreiert ihre Musik mit Hardware-Synthesizern und Bitwig, in einem Stil, der an Röyksopp, Boards of Canada und SURVIVE erinnert. Ihr Sound verbindet retrofuturistische Erkundung mit einem filmischen Ansatz, unter Labels wie #spacesynth und #sciencefiction.
Mit DESTINATIONS kreiert SUNESIS ein immersives Erlebnis, welches Musik, Kunst und Technologie verbindet und dazu einlädt, ein Universum zu erkunden, in dem Zukunft und Vergangenheit in einem analogen Schlüssel miteinander verschmelzen.
