Like someone pulling signal from static, Cosey Mueller continues to find innovative permutations on Punk and Experimental Electronic, developing them into a distinctive style in her impressive discography – of which “Embodiment of Denial” serves as a new highpoint.

An increasingly driving danceability is the backdrop for a heightened focus on Mueller’s commanding voice. Ear-catching hook after hook is loaded across the album’s eight tracks. Far from the empty sloganeering parodied on “Der Politiker”, she reclaims the declarative statement for the forces of good.
„Embodiment of denial“
– it’s the denial to embody anything forced upon us by the outside and by others. The body will eventually become what it lives through and what it’s told before it dies. It’s very important to define life and filter influence. It’s a call for embodiment of self-determination.My vision as a musician and artist is to motivate people (including myself) through my music to be themselves and do something worthwhile within the short time that they are on this planet.
Love,
Cosey
Cosey Mueller is raising questions about love, power, equality, honesty and the media – which has become such a big part of everyday life. At the same time, humour serves as a lubricant. It eases the tension between the sheer pleasure of listening to music and the subject matter. This subject might seem uncomfortable and dark at first.

About Cosey Mueller:
Cosey Mueller is a Berlin-based musician and visual artist emerging from the city’s underground electronic and post-punk scenes. She is known for combining raw punk energy with analog synth experimentation, creating a sound that is both physical and emotionally direct. Her music often merges repetitive electronic structures, coldwave textures, and expressive vocals into a danceable but confrontational style.
Before her solo work, she participated in collaborative projects in Berlin’s DIY circuit. These included synth-punk and electronic groups. These experiences helped shape her hybrid approach to songwriting and performance. Her solo debut Interior Escapes (2021) introduced a lo-fi, intimate version of her aesthetic. It was followed by Irrational Habits (2023) and Softcore (2024). These later works expanded into sharper club-driven rhythms. They also featured a more assertive vocal delivery.
Throughout her work, Mueller is known for balancing minimal electronic production. She pairs this with emotionally charged voice work. She often uses repetition, distortion, and lyrical directness to explore themes of identity. Additionally, she delves into media saturation, power structures, and personal autonomy.
Her 2026 album Embodiment of Denial marks a conceptual peak in her discography. It frames “denial” not as avoidance, but as resistance—rejecting imposed identities and advocating for self-determination. The record continues her evolution toward more driving, club-oriented energy while maintaining critical, socially aware lyrics that question authority, truth, and everyday ideological pressure.
In performance, she is known for intense, kinetic live sets. These translate her studio minimalism into a more physical, immersive experience. This reinforces her reputation as a key figure in Berlin’s contemporary experimental electronic scene.
