Collecting & Archiving Clay Workshop

,

Often collecting artefacts from her surroundings, Aline explains how found objects play an integral part in her artistic practice and throughout art history. After examining examples to get us introduced, we will set out on a walk to look for our own finds with a sensitive eye. These will then serve as the basis for the small clay objects that can be fired in a kiln, turning them into ceramics or acting as moulds to cast plaster.

The workshop is part of the ARCADIA project, focusing on the wilderness and living in harmony with nature. In the exhibition, Aline’s ceramic creatures crawl up the walls or lie on the floor, spreading out their tentacles.
