New EP: Beata Solitudo Sola Beatitudo by Papar

Summary

PAPAR is a multidisciplinary creative collective, focusing on music and film production. “Beata Solitudo Sola Beatitudo” is the first short of the Papar Projects.

Papar’s work centers on the inner conflict between the desire for unity and the drive for distinction within each individual. From the moment humans became aware of a ‘self’ and began to reflect, this conflict arose and has never ceased. We want to be one with our surroundings and, at the same time, stand apart from it.

Papar reveals the universal and timeless nature of this quest, showcasing its different faces as an audiovisual archive. These faces may initially seem to have nothing in common, differing in nationality, age, gender, sexuality, religious beliefs, or even the era in which they live. Yet each of these individuals, standing alone, brings their own perspective to this universal quest.

The music translates the individualistic self-assured attitude of contemporary youth culture. Drawing inspiration from the electronic nightlife scene, the music productions contrast with the grainy, rugged analog filmmaking. Music and visuals continually explore the conflict between arrogance and insecurity, freedom and loneliness, and modernity and classicism.

Within Papar, a fluid collaboration is in motion where each of us brings forth our unique qualities. Everything takes shape through co-creation. In this dynamic environment, each of us has a voice and contributes to every aspect.

Moreover, we aspire to cultivate a sense of mystique about our personal identities towards the socials and audience, emphasizing the importance of our shared ideology and vision over personal recognition. It is in preserving and propagating our collective philosophy that we find true significance.
