After announcing her Ibiza residency, LA DJ/producer Mia Moretti collaborates with electro icon Uffie. Their next summer club heater, “backseat baby,” will be released on July 10 on Spaghetti Moretti Records.
For this second single from her forthcoming September EP, Moretti joins forces with electro-pop pioneer Uffie. The track is an intoxicating, loop-driven house/ disco hybrid engineered strictly for the dancefloor. Built around a relentless groove and Uffie’s signature repetitive, sultry vocal hooks, “backseat baby” captures the raw, hazy energy of a late-night club peak.
It’s infectious, stripped-back, and unapologetically addictive—designed to lock the listener in. Released via Moretti’s own imprint, Spaghetti Moretti Records, “backseat baby” arrives just in time for the height of the summer season. This release further cements Mia Moretti’s evolution into the global house space.
BIOGRAPHY
Los Angeles-based DJ Mia Moretti has established herself over the last decade with a timeless blend of classic, vocal, and disco-driven house DJ sets. Moretti has secured the title of DJ of the Year by PAPER magazine and has been profiled by The New York Times, Interview, and Rolling Stone.
Her debut EP Tambor (2023) marked a remarkable step as a producer, showcasing female bullerengue artists from Colombia including Petrona Martinez and Totó la Momposina. Her work continues to focus heavily on sample use. She includes Letta Mbulu with “Sweet Juju.” She also includes Chicco with “I Need Some Money.” Additionally, she features Baltimore gospel house legend Vonita White with “Best I Can.”
In 2025, Moretti made her Crosstown Rebels debut with “Safe With Me”, featuring soul queen Irma Thomas. The package includes remixes by David Morales and Tiger Stripes. Her latest release “GET READY!” will appear on her new EP of the same name due out late summer 2026. This summer finds Mia in Ibiza where she has a DJ residency from July – September.
