What started as admiration gradually evolved into a deeply personal reinterpretation – one that preserves the intimacy of Tessa Rose Jackson’s original songwriting while opening it into a more spacious, uplifting electronic landscape.
The remix is built around the original vocal performance. It features warm analogue textures and understated rhythms. The music drifts between dreamy electronica, ambient atmospheres, and a cinematic pulse.
Released as the first chapter of Distant Memories, Paris Minuit (Clouzer Remix) marks the beginning of a label dedicated to music that exists somewhere between dream and dancefloor.

I first heard Paris Minuit during a radio broadcast in Berlin, I loved it so much that instantly, I knew I wanted to remix it. I reached out to the original producers, who kindly shared the original stems and gave me the opportunity to reinterpret the song.

What followed became a much longer journey than I had imagined. Over the course of many months, the remix slowly found its own identity. Somewhere along the way, it also inspired the creation of Distant Memories. This is a new home for music that sits between electronica, dream pop, ambient textures, and cinematic storytelling.

About Clouzer
Clouzer is the Berlin-based DJ, producer and label founder behind Distant Gaze. Born in Saint Petersburg, Jenia Clouzer has developed a sound that moves between electro, breakbeat, dark disco, EBM and more atmospheric forms of electronica. His productions are characterized by analogue textures, cosmic soundscapes, hypnotic rhythms and a strong cinematic sensibility.
As founder of Distant Gaze, he curates a space for electronic music that goes beyond the conventional dancefloor. He brings together high-energy rave music and more introspective explorations. His own releases include LMNTL (2023) and Call of the Abyss (2024), alongside remixes for artists including Zanias and more recent releases in 2025–26.
Clouzer describes his musical aim as creating a transcendent experience—music that can simultaneously invite movement, heighten the senses and evoke a sense of entering another dimension. He draws inspiration from various sources. These include Angelo Badalamenti and Burial, as well as the cinematic world of Death in Venice. Such references help explain the emotional and atmospheric depth behind his electronic work.
