With over 30 million streams, international shows, and releases on renowned labels like Iptamenos Discos, Ki Records, and Get Physical, Kalipo has become a fixture in the german electronic music landscape. In September Kalipo released his fifth studio album ‘Alles‘ which is perhaps his most personal work to date.
Blending dark club energy, playful indie songwriting, and raw DIY aesthetics, the album delivers a body of work that balances sonic directness with emotional depth. On December 19th, he will expand the world of ‘Alles’ with a Digital Deluxe Edition. It features the original album alongside powerful remixes from AFFKT and Bizzarro Universe. Additionally, it includes eight club-focused versions crafted for the dancefloor.
New Chapters in the making
Now based in Berlin, Kalipo is a known producer. He is also a co-founder of projects like the legendary electropunk band Frittenbude. He co-founded the dark disco trio Dina Summer. On Alles, he confidently moves between genres, merging dark disco, post-punk, EBM, house, and songwriting into a sound he aptly describes as psychedelic disco punk.
Across eleven tracks, Kalipo explores themes of fear, transformation, emotional turmoil, depression, desire, and love, all while offering a clear farewell to hegemonic masculinity. Sometimes dark, sometimes weightless, but always with intent. Vintage drum machines meet modern punchy snares, gritty synths meet shimmering guitars. His understated vocals – alternating between German and English – add a personal depth that’s rare in club music.
