In ihrer Einzelausstellung Dilemma verwandelt Gosia Lehmann den Projektraum Neun Kelche in ein Labyrinth. Der Wurf einer Münze entscheidet, auf welchen Pfad wir uns begeben. Ein floral geformtes Stahltor und eines aus Pfeilen verweisen auf die beiden Eingänge des blauen Irrgartens, der aus Samtvorhängen wie ein Raum im Raum von der Decke hängt. Welche Rätsel gilt es darin zu lösen, wie finden wir den Weg aus diesem Dilemma?
Ein begleitender Audioguide führt die Besucher*innen durch die Installation. Mit Hilfe von Rätseln konfrontiert uns die Künstlerin in der Installation und Performance Dilemma mit zeitgenössischen wirtschaftlichen Problemen und eröffnet neue Perspektiven auf die oft unverständlichen Wirren des Finanzsektors, der dennoch unsere individuellen Lebensrealitäten prägt.
Gosia Lehmann beschäftigt sich in ihrer Praxis mit economic shamanism (Ökonomischer Schamanismus) – ein Begriff, den sie verwendet, um die schwarze Magie der Finanzwelt zu beschreiben, zu der wirtschaftliche Paradoxien wie das ‚Verschwinden‘ von Offshore-Geld gehören. Wir freuen uns sehr, euch alle bei der Eröffnung zu sehen!

In her solo exhibition Dilemma, Gosia Lehmann transforms the project space Neun Kelche into a labyrinth. The toss of a coin decides which path upon which we embark. A floral steel gate and another made of arrows mark the two entrances to the blue maze, which, like a room within a room, hangs from the ceiling draped in velvet curtains. What riddles must be solved therein, and how do we find our way out of this Dilemma?
An accompanying audio guide leads visitors through the installation.
In the installation and performance that make up Dilemma, the artist confronts us with riddles about contemporary economic problems. These riddles encourage us to think creatively about the often unintelligible entanglements of the financial sector, which nonetheless shape our individual lived realities.
In her practice, Gosia Lehmann engages with economic shamanism—a term she uses to describe the black magic ofthe financial world, to which economic paradoxes such as the “disappearance” of offshore money belong. We are very excited to see you all at the opening!
