Love or happiness makes us blind sometimes. Especially if we’re young and filled with self confidence. Those situations make us really comfortable; at the same time they narrowing our outlook–we become lazy and careless. By reworking relationships and friendships, we learn to understand the boundaries of ourselves and others, become open to change and be able to love again. In this first editorial visual artist Tokio Okada has captured the memories of a long gone relationship and its impact on the art of imagery.
“We all have blind spots – those areas for improvement and growth. As painful as it can be to admit we’re doing things we never wanted to do and saying things we never wanted to say, it is this acknowledgement that enables us to take the first step toward change. Be gentle with yourself. Be real with yourself. Take baby steps.”
