<GLASSES> is a short animated film born from the collaboration between acclaimed director Joung Yumi and Kiminte, creative director of KIMHĒKIM. The film tells the story of a protagonist. They confront their inner shadow and gain a new perspective. They use KIMHĒKIM’s poetic objects to express repressed emotions.

‘GLASSES’, the short film by @umiartworks x @maison_kimhekim , selected for @semaine_de_la_critique @festivaldecannes

Combining Joung’s delicate pencil drawings with KIMHĒKIM’s bold aesthetic, the film delivers a quiet yet powerful emotional resonance. Supported by KOCCA, <GLASSES> marks a historic moment as the first Korean animation officially invited to Cannes Critics’ Week, held from May 14 to 22, 2025.
