BSR presents “Kaizen!” – the new EP by uramakiuramaki.

Amsterdam-based Italian producer uramakiuramaki unveils “Kaizen!”—a debut EP releasing December 13 via BSR, tied to Milan’s BURRO STUDIO creative platform.

Inspired by the concept of ‘continuous improvement,’ this work embodies a journey of personal discovery and artistic evolution. Each track was created without adherence to a specific style, reflecting a fluid and exploratory process. 

DONTHINK

In the spirit of “Kaizen,” DONTHINK serves as an invitation to release conscious control and let intuition take the lead. With its lush and break intro, the track sets a meditative tone. Kaizen creates space for reflection. Then it launches into a powerful, bass-heavy drop on a breakbeat. The sliced vocal elements—repeating “haruke,” a Japanese word meaning “walking”—symbolize steady progress and forward motion.

This interplay between rhythm and melody reflects the artist’s pursuit of growth through experimentation. The track balances introspection and release. It embodies the EP’s ethos of fluidity and self-discovery. A piece of music which represents the freedom to evolve without constraints.

DUNDANDUNDAN

Born out of pure experimentation, DUNDANDUNDAN came to life almost by accident—an exercise in using unfamiliar tools that quickly evolved into something worth sharing. With no preconceived intention behind it, DUNDANDUNDAN represents a pivotal moment in the artist’s journey: embracing spontaneity and letting go of the need for meaning or perfection.

A lively energy, unpredictable sound design, and unconventional composition reflect the artist’s growth and newfound comfort in the unknown. In the spirit of “Kaizen,” this piece is a celebration of growth through unplanned discoveries and artistic freedom. 

METALLI

A song which pushes genre boundaries by exploring techno’s foundations. The track blends heavy, rumbling kicks with a layer of strange, experimental sounds. It started as an exercise in creating a 4-on-the-floor rhythm. However, it evolved into a hypnotic, immersive experience. Sliced vocals drive the track and pull the listener deeper into its groove.

In the context of the Kaizen EP, METALLI embodies the artist’s continual growth. Both tracks are an experiment meant to hone familiarity with the tools that have shaped uramakiuramaki’s past. Like the other tracks, it shows a lighthearted approach to music-making. This style values curiosity. It also values study and play as key drivers of evolution.

Antonio Coronato, known by his artist moniker uramakiuramaki, is a music producer and musician from Italy. His solo electronic music project, uramakiuramaki, began in Rome. Evolving in Amsterdam, where he’s immersed in the vibrant electronic music scene.

Driven by a deep desire for experimentation, uramakiuramaki exists to push sonic boundaries and defy genre conventions. It’s a creative space. Freedom of expression and innovation come first. This allows him to explore and reshape sound without limits.
