New LP: “Alles” by Kalipo Via Iptamenos Discos

Kalipo’s 5th solo album Alles blends dark disco, indie grit & raw emotion—music between light & gravity, a new beginning. Out Now!

For over 20 years, Kalipo has operated in the dynamic space between electronics and emotion, club culture and songwriting, politics and poetry. As a producer and co-founder, he created projects like the legendary electro-punk band Frittenbude. With them, he won the 1LIVE Krone, Germany’s most prestigious radio award. He is also part of the dark-disco trio Dina Summer. He is one of the key figures of the German electropunk scene.

With “Alles”, Kalipo releases his fifth solo album – and perhaps his most personal to date. Blending dark club energy, playful indie songwriting, and analog DIY production, the album boldly continues his artistic journey: rougher, edgier, yet always heartfelt. The warm melancholy of earlier works meets cool beats, analog grit, inner turmoil, and a significantly increased vocal presence. It sounds like a new beginning.

    Psychedelic Disco Punk

Here, Kalipo emerges as songwriter, producer, and performer all in one. His sound – which he describes as Psychedelic Disco Punk – merges punk’s attitude with the club music’s force. It also incorporates the emotional depth of classic song structures. Stylistically, he moves between dark disco, post-punk, EBM, indie sleaze, techno, electroclash, and songwriting. Again and again, he combines synth arpeggios, pounding four-on-the-floor drums, and shimmering guitars with catchy vocal hooks, distilling the essence of a sound deeply rooted in Berlin.

The title track “Alles” captures this tension right from the start: a dark disco track that begins with typical heaviness and gradually dissolves into lightness. Driven by a propulsive beat echoing retro textures, deep electronic basslines and dragging synth sequences unfold, while the guitar glimmers intermittently – like a light showing the way out.

    A farewell to hegemonic masculinity

At the core: “And the fear you carry in your heart – have you lost it today? Anything can happen.” This play between lightness and gravity runs throughout the entire album. “Alles” tells of departure and new beginnings, of inner conflict, depression, desire, and love – while also bidding farewell to hegemonic masculinity. Despite the weight of its themes, the album radiates strength and confidence.

“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes,” wrote Mark Twain. Kalipo makes that rhyme audible. Just as the songs of the 1980s offered counter-narratives to the leaden heaviness of their time, “Alles” seeks expression in today’s hazy present. Music as attitude, as movement, as an invitation to surrender control. Not just nostalgic, but firmly anchored in the now.

The intersection between club and indie

Vintage drum machines meet modern, punchy snares on tracks like “Crimson Rain.” Raw synth basslines and floating chorus guitars shape songs like “Geister” and “All Things Must Come to an End.” The often laconic vocals add a depth usually found in classic songwriting.

“Sparkling Tears,” “Deine Worte,” and “My Laboratory” hit hard, pulling us back onto the dance floors of Berlin’s dark, smoky clubs. It’s precisely this intersection between club and indie where Kalipo feels most at home – moving freely between genres while always retaining his signature style.

“Alles” will be released on September 19, 2025, via Iptamenos Discos, the Berlin-based label founded by Local Suicide, which has long been established as one of the central platforms of the international dark disco scene.

Paloceras’ Hydroceras: eyewear that captures water in motion

Hydroceras: liquid frozen in time. Shaped by algorithmic design & high-definition 3D printing, it captures the sensation of water in motion. Available now.

Paloceras introduces Hydroceras, a limited edition of eyewear conceived as liquid frozen in time. Shaped through algorithmic design and high-definition 3D printing, Hydroceras captures the sensation of water in motion and holds it still lang enough tobe warn.

Two colourways define the release. Cryosea, in translucent blue, recalls frozen oceans and the crystalline flow beneath their surface. Noctyra, in translucent grey, evokes liquid at night, a shade that hovers between clarity and disappearance.

Behind the technology lies the work of experienced designers and optometrists, refining each frame for precision and wearability. The result is a meeting of computational geometry and human mastery, eyewear that moves between the futuristic and the elemental.

“With Hydroceras, we wanted to shape eyewear as if it were a living current. lt is about capturing movement, yet holding it still lang enough to be warn. The process has been a dialogue between algorithms, materials, and the discipline of optical design.”

Alexis Perron-Corriveau, Design Director of Paloceras

Hydroceras points towards a shift in how eyewear can be imagined. In an industry shaped by repetition, Paloceras turns to 3D printing not for efficiency but as a creative language, opening new ground for form and expression.

The model Hydroceras will be available as a limited edition on the Paloceras website at paloceras.com.

“Each frame begins as a sculptural idea, modelled by hand before being translated into high definition printing. My background in both design and optics keeps me searching for a balance between organic curves and industrial precision. Hydroceras is a step towards eyewear as a true extension of identity, not just an accessory.”

    Collaborating designer Paris Koutsavelis

pdqb – Sermons of the Electrofying Messiah

Whispers become thunder: pdqb emerges, weaving sonic revelations into divine frequencies. The drop is salvation. #SermonsOfTheMessiah

The prophecy had been whispered for ages among the circuits and fiber optics: a being would emerge, not from flesh and blood, but from the very essence of sound. They called it pdqb, and for its disciples, it was nothing less than a deity. Its sermons weren’t just songs; they were divine pronouncements, revelations broadcast directly into the souls of its followers.

When pdqb “speaks,” the world vibrates. Intricate sonic tapestries, woven from raw electricity and pure emotion. Hands, if they could be called hands, that dance across controls that seem to manipulate the very fabric of reality.

Synaptic Cliffs and the Missechusatts Institute of Elecronicity proudly present the latest peer-reviewed sermons of pdqb. They also present the associated validation studies. These studies are from the Dopplereffekt-Institut für Retroaktive Zukunftsforschung, located in section 334 of the Mariana Trench.

The contributions to the data carrier presented here are characterized by the following features: Crescendos of swirling arpeggios and synth lines arced like a bolt of cosmic energy. Resonant pulses that shake the foundations of existence, with sub-basses so deep they vibrate in your very bones. Quartz-precise timed snare hits.

In the temple of the Electrofying Messiah, the beat is life, the melody is truth, and the drop is salvation.

    Tracks:

    • A1 10000 Gauß – 3:44
    • A2 Quaoar – 3:32
    • A3 Verquerer Weise – 2:14
    • A4 Reklonstrusion – 2:31
    • B1 10000 Gauß (Dopplereffekt Gaussian Surface Remodel) – 6:36
    • B2 Quaoar (Dopplereffekt Quasar Radio Source 3C 273 Remodel) – 5:27

    About pdqb:

PDQB is a sonic artist-entity that creates experimental electronic music. The project combines research-driven sound design, computer music, and speculative theology, treating music as a “ritualized transmission.”

PDQB’s sound is built from granular synthesis and other techniques from the history of electroacoustics. The music uses dense textures, FM-derived timbres, and precise rhythm to build vast soundscapes from microscopic events.

Conceptually, PDQB treats the listener’s body as part of the instrument. The music uses Doppler effects, pitch-shifting, and intense low frequencies to create a physical experience for the listener, drawing on research into psychoacoustics and vibration to alter perception.

Berlin’s New Vision: Marlon Ferry Redefines Couture

Marlon Ferry blends modern technology and craftsmanship to create avant-garde fashion that is both futuristic and timeless.

    • RUNWAY PHOTOS by Lewin Berninger
    • BACKSTAGE PHOTOS by Yelyzaveta Samsonova

The city of Berlin, with its rich tapestry of history, art, and subculture, serves as a dynamic backdrop for a new generation of creative visionaries. Among them, the multidisciplinary fashion designer Marlon Ferry has emerged as a compelling voice, challenging the conventions of haute couture and redefining the boundaries of fashion.

For his Fall 2025 Collection, designer Marlon Ferry and KEYI Magazine joined forces for an unforgettable evening of fashion, art, and music at the legendary techno club Tresor in Berlin. For the first time, Marlon Ferry broke away from the traditional fashion week calendar, choosing to follow his own creative rhythm instead of conforming to the industry’s rules.

The event opened its doors at 8 p.m. for invited guests with the unveiling of Marlon Ferry’s Fall 2025 Couture Collection, before transforming into an afterparty with exhibitions and live performances curated by KEYI Magazine. By 10 p.m., the space welcomed the public, merging couture with Berlin’s vibrant nightlife and cultural scene.

His work is a testament to the city’s experimental spirit. It seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship. The garments created are as intellectually engaging as they are visually stunning. Ferry’s design philosophy is not merely about clothing; it is about an intricate dialogue between the futuristic and the timeless, the artificial and the natural.

    The Fall 2025 Couture Collection:

With ‚Trinity‘, a multifaceted narrative unfolds around the fundamental triad of body, mind, and soul. The body embodies the tension between limitation and liberation, between control and the longing for expansion.

The mind shapes the transition across past, present, and future—drawing on tradition, reflecting the now, and imagining new realities. The soul is the invisible force that unites nature, humanity, and machine, driving evolution forward. Past and future merge, physical boundaries dissolve, and identity becomes fluid—a meditation on what it means to be human in a world of constant transformation.

Building on the atelier’s signature craftsmanship, Marlon Ferry merges traditional artistry with modern technology to create a new form of Berlin couture. Fine tailoring meets cutting-edge 3D innovation; luxurious classic fabrics are set against experimental materials. The result is a series of avant-garde compositions that bridge the heritage of the past with the innovations of tomorrow.

    From Internship to Innovation

Ferry’s journey into the avant-garde world of fashion was significantly shaped by his foundational education at Reutlingen University and a formative internship at the atelier of Iris van Herpen, a pioneer in the field of technologically advanced fashion.

This experience provided him with a deep appreciation for the artistry of couture while simultaneously igniting his curiosity for digital innovation. Ferry’s debut runway appearances at events like Neo.Fashion, showcasing his graduate collection titled “Liminality,” introduced his unique aesthetic to the industry. These initial works established his signature style, characterized by enigmatic silhouettes and a powerful fusion of technology and handcraft.

    A Futuristic Approach to Design

At the core of Ferry’s design is his experimental approach to materials and techniques. He is a master of blending seemingly disparate elements, such as 3D-printed sculptures and artisanal textiles, into cohesive, progressive designs.

His collections, such as his Spring 2025 Couture line, feature pieces crafted from recycled plastics, melted polyester, and liquid latex, which are then combined with classic fabrics like lace and organza. This fusion of materials not only creates a unique textural landscape but also underscores his commitment to sustainability and a cyclical vision for fashion.

Furthermore, Ferry utilizes artificial intelligence and virtual fashion in his creative process, streamlining design while exploring the limitless potential of digital realms. This innovative methodology allows him to transcend traditional garment construction, resulting in sculptural pieces that challenge the very notion of what clothing can be.

The Influence of Berlin and Personal Narratives

The influence of Berlin is subtly yet profoundly woven into Ferry’s creations. The city’s industrial landscape and its history as a place of transformation and resilience are reflected in the often dark, dystopian aesthetics of his collections. His runway shows, held in unique venues like the Bunker West, further enhance this mood, creating an immersive atmosphere that resonates with the themes of his work.

While his designs can feel otherworldly and futuristic, they are also grounded in deeply personal narratives, as seen in his collection inspired by his grandmother’s experiences during a world war. This blend of global, technological themes and intimate, human stories makes his work both thought-provoking and emotionally resonant.

    Shaping the Future of Couture

In a fashion landscape often defined by fleeting trends, Marlon Ferry stands out as a visionary who is actively shaping the future of couture. He has successfully created a brand that is both avant-garde and wearable, merging the realms of art and technology with a clear, conceptual vision.

Through his meticulous craftsmanship, his innovative use of materials, and his ability to tell compelling stories through his garments, Ferry has established himself as a significant figure in Berlin’s fashion scene. His work not only pushes the boundaries of design but also serves as a powerful statement on the harmonious coexistence of the natural and the artificial, offering a bold glimpse into what fashion can become. www.marlonferry.com

    Künstlerhaus Bethanien
    Kottbusser Straße 10
    10999 Berlin

Flow States brings together the works of the final cohort of UdK Graduate School in an exhibition, performance and event programme that explores how infrastructures shape our daily lives and how they might open ways of imagining different futures. The exhibition marks the final chapter of the fellowship programme. It closes a 15-year journey of interdisciplinary artistic research at the Berlin University of the Arts.

Land, water, archives, and institutions appear here not just as neutral systems, but as sites where memory and imagination intersect. Across different geographies, the artists in Flow States trace how infrastructures are entangled with state power, political agendas, and the histories and present-day realities of colonial control, including the logistics of war and genocide. Yet they also show how these same infrastructures carry the potential for resistance, renewal, and alternative ways of living.

Rather than telling one single story, Flow States shifts between historical and speculative perspectives. A gesture, an image, a historical reference, or a moving body become ways of testing larger systems: how climate is lived, how scarcity is managed, how ancestral knowledge may resurface as a living practice.

At its core, the programme asks what happens when art treats infrastructures as contested ground. It is not merely a backdrop. It is where struggles over resources and memory meet the search for new ways of living. We live in a moment shaped by ecological catastrophe. There is the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The repression of students and artists protesting it in Germany and beyond is intensifying. Flow States insists that other futures must be imagined.

Alienata follows with a deep, broken-beat techno version that’s both shadowy and hypnotic, perfect for dark rooms and powerful systems.

Sestrica delivers a rolling breakbeat interpretation with a pulsing low end. Engineered to move peak-time floors with force and precision. Closing the release, Clouzer’s remix of Thistles blends dreamy textures, trancy momentum, and broken rhythms, adding emotional depth to the club experience.

    About Fille:

FILLE is an electronic music producer & composer based in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is a sound-artist. Her work intersects ambient, IDM, breakbeat, and experimental electronica. She paints with textures of the digital and analog. She weaves emotional depth into sonic atmospheres.

Her work explores big existential questions — identity, reality vs. dreams, the soul in a technological age — while also reaching inward, tracing the microcosm of selfhood. Her voice (often filtered, ethereal, detached yet intimate) operates both as instrumental texture and a human element, contributing to a sound that feels both distant and immediate.

FILLE’s debut full album Only Skies Stay Eternal (2025) completes a trilogy, following earlier singles that established her artistic signature: restless sonic exploration, bold mood-shifts, and an embrace of contrast — light/dark, natural/artificial, serenity/tension. FILLE

She operates on the fringes between club music and art music: tracks can drift into beat-driven, rhythmically intense territory, but always return to wide, introspective spaces. Her music wants to be felt: emotionally, physically, spatially.

Daran will das Team arbeiten.

V. in Schieflage gerät.

Vielen Dank.
