In a bold and unflinching evolution of sound, Alexander Price emerges anew with The Storm EP. A brooding, industrial-tinged body of work. The EP feels as introspective as it is apocalyptic. Across five striking tracks, Price navigates the tension between inner turmoil and a fractured external world, crafting a sonic narrative that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
The Storm EP draws from post-punk grit and synthwave atmospherics. It inhabits a shadowy, gothic universe. In this universe, mechanised beats collide with searing guitar lines. The result is a textured, immersive listening experience—one that pulses with urgency and emotional weight.
Track by Track
The title track, The Storm, sets the tone with a driving, new wave-inspired momentum. Here, Price reflects on his own life journey against a dystopian backdrop. He merges lyrical introspection with an electrifying sonic force. This force lingers long after the final note.
On Heatwave, the energy intensifies. A visceral exploration of sexuality unfolds through crunchy guitars and pulsating synths, resulting in a track that feels both seductive and explosive.
A shimmering rebellion of early-2000s electroclash
The EP’s raw edge continues with Red Hot and Raw, an instant earworm that channels the shimmering rebellion of early-2000s electroclash. Infused with indie nostalgia, it stands as a testament to one of Price’s key influences. It also firmly asserts his own sonic identity with a snarling punk attitude.
On Hunter, Price delves deeper still, excavating his most primal desires. Inspired by the unsettling intensity of Francis Bacon’s work, the track exists in a space of duality—beauty and discomfort entwined in a hypnotic push and pull.
Closing the EP, Black Sky leaves listeners suspended in a moment of existential longing, as Price poses the haunting question: “Where is the light?”
Italo Disco Inspired Collab
This latest release follows the success of Oh!, his collaboration Alien, which climbed to number 11 on the Beatport Indie Dance Chart and earned repeated spins on Klaus Fiehe’s 1Live Fiehe show. Momentum has clearly been building—2026 alone has seen Price unveil the Italo disco-inspired Saint Tropez EP via Mélopée Records.
With The Storm EP, produced and arranged by Massimo Paramour and featuring guitars by multi-instrumentalist ALP, Alexander Price delivers his most provocative and sonically rich statement to date. It is a work that doesn’t just demand attention—it commands it.
