German DJ, label owner, and artist manager Oliver Schories is gearing up to unveil a remix of emerging indie project Pinwheel Valley’s track. The remix, ‘Your Superman’, is landing on January 30th, 2026 via Hot Soap Records. Over a decade ago, Oliver Schories burst onto the scene. He was a precocious artist with a dream and a debut album, Herzensangelegenheit (2012), on Parquet Recordings. Fast-forward to today. With over 140 million Spotify streams and support from renowned publications, his influence on the global electronic music landscape is undeniable.
With albums like Exit (2013) and Blitzbahn (2018), Schories has achieved significant recognition. These were released on renowned labels such as Stil vor Talent and Get Physical. As a result, Schories has cemented his place among Germany’s top DJ/live acts. A relentless performer, 2019 marked his peak with worldwide tours and standout EPs like Maia, amassing over 4.5 million streams. Beyond his music, he’s championed other artists through his labels, SOSO and Pracht, hosting talents like Deetron and Rodriguez Jr. His latest albums, Paradigm (2020) and Paradigm Remixes (2021), and collaborations like Packard with Jan Blomqvist garnered millions of streams.
Indie Soul, mellow Alt-Rock and Folktronica
Jordanian-Canadian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Qais Khoury leads Pinwheel Valley. The band is a genre-blurring project that fuses Indie Soul, mellow Alt-Rock, and Folktronica. It draws inspiration from Jeff Buckley, Bon Iver, James Blake, and Radiohead. With over 2.6 million streams across platforms, features in several publications, and airplay on BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Sheffield, RTÉ 2FM, and NPR Music, the band has built a reputation for emotional depth and sonic ambition.
The single ‘Your Superman’ debuted at No. 13 on the US iTunes Alternative Charts. Their award-winning videos for ‘Willow’ and ‘Abduction’ earned Best Music Video honours. They were recognized at international film festivals, including New York Film Awards, Vegas Movie Awards, and the Swedish International Film Festival. The original track is a lushly moving piece of Indie Rock, with Qais’ haunting vocals floating across a vast, wintery instrumental.
