Featuring 35 shows, the event highlighted the fusion of fashion, art, and club culture while embracing diversity, sustainability, and international collaboration. With a new slot in the global fashion calendar, BFW solidified Berlin’s growing presence on the world stage.

A Statement of Freedom, Inclusion, and Creativity

Under the leitmotif “The responsible movement of freedom, inclusion, and creativity,” BFW showcased Berlin’s commitment to authenticity, diversity, and openness. This spirit was evident in the diverse model casts, eclectic locations such as the Halle am Berghain, St. Thomas Kirche, and Kant-Garagen, and the innovative formats of NEWEST and INTERVENTION.

A New Place in the Global Fashion Calendar

For the first time, BFW followed the Haute Couture shows in Paris and Copenhagen Fashion Week, securing its position as a key player in the international circuit. This shift attracted its largest global audience to date, reinforcing Berlin’s status as a fashion capital.

“This season, Berlin Fashion Week has once again established itself as an important platform for innovative fashion and creative diversity… We are also increasingly focusing on internationalization by consciously looking beyond our own horizons and collaborating in solidarity with other countries.”

Franziska Giffey, Mayor and Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Public Enterprises
