Now, SON Estrella Galicia will debut their unique concept in Germany – introducing the first of many events; first stop, Berlin! Kicking off the event, two live acts and a DJ session are set to wreck the room.
English Teacher
Fresh from sold-out tours across the UK, Europe, and the USA. Renowned for their genre-bending, musically innovative sound and sharp, socially conscious lyrics, the band emerged from Leeds Conservatoire in 2020 and quickly gained traction after signing to influential indie label Nice Swan Records.
Launching themselves into critical acclaim with their EP Polyawkward, they’ve since continued their hike to stardom and graced stages at Glastonbury, toured with The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Parquet Courts, and earned praise from NME and TIME Magazine parading their dynamic blend of psychedelia, art punk, and emotive ballads.
Their debut studio album This Could Be Texas racked up quite the collection of prestigious awards; Scooping up a cool Mercury Prize for Best British album of the year ‘24, they then grabbed the Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough Award ‘24 and finally made Rough Trade’s esteemed Albums of the Year ‘24 list.
RIP Swirl
The alias of Berlin multi-instrumentalist and producer Luka Seifert, sweeps into the support slot, with his iconic and dreamy amalgamation of what Resident Advisor describes as “Wistful, nostalgic indie electronica”. RIP Swirl is an enmeshment of Luka’s background as a DJ in the Berlin club scene, his expertise as a producer and his lifelong obsession with guitar and analog production.
The result is a dizzying evolution of shoegaze, sprinkled with elements of trip-hop and slicked with 90s nostalgia. Riding high off a sold-out album release for his debut Perfectly Blue and a recent support slot with Casey MQ in London, Luka has also struck solid musical relationships with several up and coming vocalists riding the same wave.
His ‘23 single Lets make out is a collaboration with Copenhagen’s Ydegirl while several notable new female vocalists also feature on Perfectly Blue including Tanukichan, alias error of a.s.o., Maria Somerville and Winter.
Andreya Casablanca
These two incredible acts will set the tone for the continuation of a fantastic night as they pass the ever burning torch to one of Berlin’s finest DJs and selectors, Andreya Casablanca, known as half of the Berlin indie duo Gurr.
Her solo project blends garage rock-inspired guitar with Linn Drum beats, a little bit of 2000s MTV dance music and poppy vocal hooks, creating a Lo-Fi yet explosive sound. In October 2024, Andreya released her debut solo album via Berlin label Mansions and Millions, cementing her reputation as an adventurous and boundary-pushing artist.
BI NUU

Food and Beverage from environmentally sustainable agriculture
Enthusiastic early birds and VIP guests are in for an extra tantalizing treat of a beer workshop led by our Master Brewer – What Does Your Beer Sound Like? Where guests will experience SON Estrella Galicia’s multi-sensory approach to beer.
In combination, Son Estrella Galicia has chosen Kochbox as their gastronomy collaborator. Kochbox serves Berlin pop-up kitchen vibes – with 16 years behind them they are dedicated to conscientious cooking and live by the motto of “culinary rebellion!”.
They present an exceptional menu specifically designed to accompany Estrella Galicia beers in perfect pairings. Kochbox exclusively uses regionally grown ingredients, supports environmentally sustainable agriculture and takes a stance against factory farming; working with local farmers in Brandenberg that practice species-appropriate animal husbandry.
Following, there will be a food pairing and then a live art exhibition by local artist TrashmaidBerlin. Their art is created using waste materials from marine debris and a multitude of plastic trash, making a point of standing against rampant consumerism and unethical waste production.
TrashmaidBerlin is an artist that resonates with the core mission of Estrella Galicia for ultimate sustainability; creating entertainment that sustains local music and art cultures, while also reducing and highlighting environmental damage.
A Positive Impact event
Marked as pioneers of extreme Positive Impact events, Estrella Galicia are renowned for their consistent conscientious eco-activism and goals for sustainability throughout the four generations of the brand. They were championed for their SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia Festival in Formentera, Spain as zero waste heroes after being the first festival in the world to achieve True Platinum Zero Waste status from GBCI.
About the SON Estrella Galicia
Beginning at their roots in Galicia, Estrella Galicia has worked hard to create eco-friendly products and events as well as maintaining sustainability status through trading relations with local farmers and suppliers to produce their product and maintain consistent home-grown quality.
With the growth of the brand, their mission has also extended to reach further areas of the globe where they host events – working with independent venues, local vendors, artists and bringing a focus to local sustainability projects. This Berlin event will be followed by the next in Granada and many more planned as the project continues to grow with the help of its collaborators and attendees.
“We are very excited to start our journey in Berlin. Since 2009, we’ve supported emerging talent with our SON Estrella Galicia events. Diverse musical experiences that pose a disruptive proposal that, beyond music, are also based on beer culture, positive impact and gastronomy. We have often bet on new artists who end up as headliners and we see very bright futures ahead of English Teacher, RIP Swirl and Andreya Casablanca and we can’t wait to see them in BI NUU.”
José Villanueva from SON Estrella Galicia.
