New EP: March Adstrum feat. Sacro – Easy, out in february

,

Written in winter, “Easy” is a shimmery electronic shoegaze song that evokes an icy sonic landscape, and reminds the listener to let go of negative self impressions. It came to be through a chance meeting in the back alley of a D.I.Y. venue in Los Angeles.

March Adstrum comes from a background singing in indietronica group Optometry, and playing guitar in shoegaze band Valley Porno People, while Sacro plays drums in shoegaze bands Jane Remover, Juggler, and Kraus. The song’s sound came out of limitations, with all of March’s side of things being recorded in her bedroom with one mic, and all of Sacro’s side of things being made with what he had while on tour.

Her first official solo release came out in 2021 entitled Veins, Vines, Cables. The EP depicts love against backdrops of technology, suburbia, and impermanence. For this project, she worked closely with musicians: Gabe Lubowe, Robert Diggins, and Joli Einem. In 2024 Adstrum released her debut album Relics From Phantoms.
