Sunday’s runway opened with Kasia Kucharska, winner of the FCG/VOGUE Fashion Fund, who is known for her cast latex creations. Her debut collection at Berlin Fashion Week showcased pioneering craftsmanship, featuring blouses and shorts with dynamic ruching, as well as dresses made from deconstructed sweaters, cardigans, and transparent mesh—held together by functional latex ornaments, without seams.

At Alte Münze, Rebekka Ruétz presented “reBIRTH – The Transformation of a New Era”, a collection that captured themes of renewal and evolution. Sustainability played a key role, with organic cotton and organic denim at the heart of the collection.

With “(R)EVOLUTION IRRESISTIBLE”, Melisa Minca merged fashion with activism, inspired by Adrienne Maree Brown’s Pleasure Activism. She redefined activism as a joyful, creative, and emotionally fulfilling space, using discarded garments and fabric remnants to craft intricately deconstructed, one-of-a-kind designs. The collection blended vintage silhouettes with modern reconstruction, showcasing the transformative power of fashion.

At Château Royal in Berlin-Mitte, Avenir debuted its “Galleria” collection, where Sophie Claussen transformed pre-owned garments into exquisite outerwear through expert tailoring and sustainable innovations. A highlight was the “melange effect”, achieved by fusing wool and linen into soft blue gradients, enriched by hues of grey and peach. The AW25 collection demonstrated fashion’s power as a living, evolving art form.

St. Thomas’ Church in Kreuzberg provided a sacred yet striking backdrop for Clara Colette Miramon’s collection, “Maria hat geholfen”. She juxtaposed gothic aesthetics with modern femininity, featuring down jackets, corsets, and draped jeans in black and purple tones. A key piece—a satin dress with a silver breastplate—symbolized maternal strength and gentleness, a recurring theme throughout the collection.

The Ukrainian label PLNGNS introduced “Identity Season”, a collection rooted in upcycling and sustainable innovation. Everyday objects, like sneakers, were reimagined as vests and jackets, merging functionality with unisex aesthetics. The collection showcased bold puffer jackets and distinctive nylon pants, setting a new standard for eco-conscious fashion.

“B-STORIES” Pop-Up Store

Designer Natascha von Hirschhausen, alongside PB0110, Société Angelique, Dawn Denim, and Alina Schürfeld, launched the “B-STORIES” Pop-Up Store. She was one of five designers awarded €5,000 by eBay Circularity Support, using the funds to craft two exclusive looks from pre-loved items, available on eBay from February 4.
